Ceteras Popcode is a small company based in Cologne, Germany. We had created several blogs and mobile apps in the past and we aim to share the best practical tips that we have come across in the (recent) past. Website requirements get more and more complex, from different points of view and the gap between simple, representative web pages (business card type of website) and specialized websites grows bigger every year. The challenge is to apply the most meaningful measures to keep your website up-to-date and to increase the brand recognition.

We love music, movies, pop culture in general. That’s why “pop” is in the brand name. We code with web tools and free tools and some paid tools too (mostly for the design elements).

AI Tools as Coding Assistants

AI Tools for coding are an interesting evolution and it is a good topic not just for conversations. Can they help to grow productivity and reduce errors? We think “yes” for the first question and “it depends” for the second one. In our experience tools such as GitHub Copilot are useful when coding specific tasks and sometimes it generates too much code. A discerning developer is still needed to stop the zealous code creation and to maintain the focus for the bigger use case that is being worked on.

We think that AI Tools can help a lot when building a code library that afterwards can be assembled into a bigger application.

We haven’t heard yet of a full application that was build completely with AI, but it is possible to create smaller modules that you can combine into a business application.

AI Proficiency Course

Dorina Ceteras took an AI Course from the IHK Köln in line with the european AI Act. Since August 2025 all businesses that use AI tools are required to instruct the employees how to use AI tools, what risks exist and which use cases are a good match for these tools.

There isn*t any formal requirement for the trainers so anyone with a good hands-on experience can organize such trainings. Beside IHK, other services offer similar trainings. We recommend the webinars from e-recht24.de or from the IT liability insurance Hiscox which are included in the membership.
